Oat Bar Sell-Side Diligence

Our team was tasked with assisting in a sell-side market study and strategy for an oat-based snack bar company.

My role in this project was owning all of the analytical processes, namely the market sizing and growth efforts. I sized the oat-based market, historical, and future growth by utilizing thousands of rows of scanner data and fuzzy matching analysis.

Kraft's "Chewy Bars" had a recall on its oat bars, which caused historical oat bar market growth to be deceivingly low, so I performed an additional revenue projection scenario analyses for Kraft had the recall not happened to paint a picture of what normal historical growth had been for this market.
Growth and Pricing Strategy for a Meats Manufacturer
Our team was tasked with performing a growth and pricing strategy for a renowned meats manufacturer.

My task for this project was owning the survey creation, programming, and analyses, and growth opportunity sizing efforts.

I wrote, programmed, and analyzed a customer survey aiming to understand customer sentiment around the clients brand, purchase behavior, the clients positioning in the market compared to competitors, and new growth avenues. In this survey I performed a gabor-granger analysis determining price elasticity and pricing optimization for strategic pricing recommendations.

I also owned opportunity sizing efforts for new growth avenues our client could pursue utilizing scanner data, survey inputs, and competitive benchmarking.

Our pricing and growth opportunity recommendations directly informed by my analysis estimated a ~20-40% increase in revenues for our client.

Growth Strategy for a Skilled Nursing Facility Staffing Agency

Our team was tasked with a market study and growth strategy for a staffing agency for skilled nursing facilities (SNFs).
​
Under tight timelines (~2 weeks), I wrote, programmed, and analyzed two surveys to understand both healthcare practitioners and SNF administrators needs, key decision criteria, and attitudes towards our client and competitors.
​
I also took a leadership role in this project, coaching associates, managing various workstreams, and assisting in communications with the clients demonstrating time and task management under tight timelines.
Corporate Growth Strategy for a Wellness-Oriented CPG Conglomerate
My team worked with a CPG conglomerate and were tasked with developing a growth strategy for its wellness-related products (e.g., vitamins, hair care, skin care, makeup, etc.).

My role in this project was owning all of the qualitative insights, primary, and secondary research. In an extensive interview campaign with market experts, key opinion leaders, competitors, and customers (e.g., retailers), I was able to develop a strong understanding of market drivers, white space opportunities, and customer pain points.
​
Through my research, I learned about the importance of personalization when it comes to wellness products, as customers often face decision fatigue with the myriad of product options.
​
My work led to an ultimate recommendation for the client to pursue personalization technology efforts for its products in a three step process, focusing on short-term, medium-term, and long-term strategic recommendations.
